Seahawks Release Shaun Alexander
Just 26 months after Shaun Alexander signed a $62 million contract, the Seattle Seahawks have released the former MVP.
“It’s sad, really,” Seahawks President Tim Ruskell said after announcing the move. “He’s been such an upstanding guy through my whole tenure here. I don’t think we have that Super Bowl run if it wasn’t for Shaun.”
Even [...]

The Seattle Seahawks have signed cornerback Marcus Trufant to a long 6-year deal worth $50.2 million including $20 million in guarantees.
“It kind of just seems like everything is working out like a storybook in my life. I played ball here. I grew up here. I got to play college ball here, NFL ball here. I’m [...]

Seahawks Sign Julius Jones
The Seattle Seahawks have signed former Dallas Cowboys running back Julius Jones to a four-year deal worth around $3 million a year.
Until the middle of last season a lot of people believed Jones was a better running back than former Cowboys teammate Marion Barber. In fact he was the starter in Dallas over Barber [...]

NFL Divisional Playoff Review
New England Patriots 31 > Jacksonville Jaguars 20
Was there ever a point in this game where you thought the Patriots were in trouble? Not in my opinion. Tom Brady was just 2 dropped passes away from a perfect game and the Jaguars defense is actually really good, Brady was just unstoppable. Unless Tom Terrific decides [...]

NFL Divisional Playoff Predictions
Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers
Out of all the games this week, this one is the easiest for me to predict. I don’t see how Seattle can win this game. They don’t have a running game and the Packers defense will be able to put enough pressure on Matt Hasselbeck to shut him down. Unless [...]

Seattle Seahawks kicker Josh Brown isn’t worried about the cold weather in Green Bay because he’s had his pants fitted with battery-powered heaters.
When asked where he heard of this idea Brown replied, “I use it when I go hunting. It’s common. It’s no big thing to use electric socks when you’re sitting there all day [...]

Wild Card Weekend in Review
Jacksonville Jaguars 31 > Pittsburgh Steelers 29
This was a fairly one-sided game until the 4th quarter, when the Steelers finally decided to make it a game. With a 1 yard touchdown run, Najeh Davenport gave the Steelers a one point lead with just 6:21 left on the clock. However the Jags were able to get [...]
