NFL Week 2 Thoughts
Indianapolis Colts 18
Minnesota Vikings 15
Why are the Vikings still playing Tarvaris Jackson? With a mediocre QB the Vikings would become a Super Bowl team but unfortunately Jackson happens to be far worse than mediocre.
Tennessee Titans 24
Cincinnati Bengals 7
When Vince Young finally gets his head straight and wants to play football again he may have to [...]

Some Thoughts on Week 1
Atlanta Falcons 34
Detroit Lions 21
I have a hard time believing the Falcons are as good as they looked in this game so I’ll just assume the Lions are going to be really crappy this year. Michael Turner is a beast but come on, he’s not Jim Brown.
New York Jets 20
Miami Dolphins 14
Favre had a nice [...]

Jets QB Competition Still Undecided
Even though the New York Post reported Eric Mangini is leaning towards Kellen Clemens to lead his team on 2008, Mangini says he still hasn’t decided on a starting quarterback.
“I don’t know what published report that was, or who said it, but I can tell you that I make the decision and I am pulling [...]

2008 NFL Mock Draft (Picks 6-10)
(6) New York Jets – Vernon Gholston, DE/OLB Ohio State
The Jets would love to get either Matt Ryan or McFadden with this pick but they’ll have no problem settling for one of the best defensive prospects in this draft, Vernon Gholston. With all the talent Gholston has, it won’t take long before he’s a [...]

2008 NFL Mock Draft (Picks 1-5)
With the first pick in the 2008 NFL draft the Miami Dolphins select Offensive Tackle Jake Long from the University of Michigan. Bill Parcells knows it takes talent on the O-line to have an effective offense and Jake Long has the ability to make a difference like Joe Thomas did for the Browns last season.
(2) [...]

Jets Owner Commited to Mangini
After just a 4 win season in 2007, Jets owner Woody Johnson has said head coach Eric Mangini and general manager Mike Tannenbaum will definitely keep their jobs for 2009 regardless of how they do in 2008.
“I really think it takes time to build a team,” Owner Woody Johnson told the New York Daily News. [...]

Coles Doesn’t Get An Extension
Instead of giving wide receiver Laveranues Coles a contract extension, the New York Jets have guaranteed him the $11 million remaining on the final 2 years of his contract.
A few weeks ago Coles was obviously unhappy with the team.
“I don’t want to seem like another greedy player, but I feel I’ve earned the right to [...]
