Super Bowl XLII Prediction
Finally my favorite holiday is almost here, the Super Bowl. Every NFL fan has been waiting for this all season long and regardless if your favorite team made it this far or not, everyone will be watching to see if the Patriots can make history or if the Giants can pull off the huge upset.
When these two teams faced off in week 17 it was one of the best games of the season and the Giants almost got away with the win but this time I believe the results will be very different.
In week 17 the weather was cold and for the first half the Patriots really weren’t sticking to their game plan, they were trying to let Randy Moss break Jerry Rice’s touchdown reception record and they desperately wanted Tom Brady to throw for 50 touchdowns on the season (also an NFL record).
This time around the only think Tom Brady has to worry about is winning the game.
I think the Giants will keep it close for the first quarter but after than I’m expecting the Patriots to pull away and win by a big margin. Even though the Giants have the best pass rush in the NFL, the Patriots offense will be able to move the ball at will.
Brandon Jacobs could have a decent game but it won’t matter because Eli Manning will finally come back down to earth and make some costly mistakes under pressure.
My Prediction: The New England Patriots win by 17 points.
