Steve Spagnuolo Isn’t Going Anywhere
Despite speculation, New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will not be a head coach next season. Instead he will remain with the Giants as the highest paid D-Coordinator in the NFL.
“Steve is a hard worker who has quickly earned the respect of the players and coaches,” Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said. “And he has earned the consideration he is being given. Needless to say, I am happy that he will be remaining here.”
After Spagnuolo announced he’s staying put in New York, the Giants quickly rewarded him with a new three-year $6 million contract making him the highest paid defensive coordinator in the National Football League.
Spagnuolo has a very bright future in the NFL as a head coach but for now he’ll continue to wreak havoc on opposing offenses.
