Steve McNair Retires
Mentally Steve McNair still wants to play football, but physically he knows his body has had enough forcing the 35 year old quarterback to call it a career.
“Coming out and making this decision, it was hard,” McNair said. “In your mind, you feel like you can play, that you can still compete. But when your mind and your body are not in accord, it’s not going to work in the National Football League.
“My mind was there. Mentally, I could go out and play. But physically, I couldn’t do it anymore. Not to the capacity that I need to help my teammates win a football game.”
McNair will be remembered as one of the toughest quarterbacks to ever play the game. He was always injury prone but that rarely kept him from taking the field on Sundays.

McNair will go down as such a warrior. He played with injuries, both series and day-to-day, not to mention he was a big part of the Titans when they advanced to the Super Bowl. A very nice career.
Quitter.
