Ravens Will Franchise Suggs
If the Baltimore Ravens are unable to sign linebacker Terrell Suggs to a long-term deal, the team will likely place their franchise tag on him.
“We will be using the franchise tag on Terrell if we don’t have a long-term deal in place between now and then,” Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said. “At his position, we feel like he’s one of the top two or three outside linebackers in the game. He does a very good job against the run and the pass.”
Suggs is definitely one of the best linebackers in the game today, and being just 25 years old he’s still getting better. The Ravens would be very wise to keep him around next season and beyond.
