Ravens Fire Brian Billick
Just six years after winning the Super Bowl, the Baltimore Ravens have fired head coach Brian Billick due to his horrible 5-11 record this season.
“I believed that it was time for a change,” owner Steve Bisciotti said. “I believed that we have the nucleus of a team that can get back to the Super Bowl, and we felt that in the next five years we had a better chance with a new coach than leaving Brian in that position.”
“We have been losing more than winning lately,” Bisciotti said. “I have one job here, and that’s to have a leader that I think gives us the best chance to win. … I said to my wife last night that there’s a Hall of Fame coach out there, and it’s our job to find him.”
Billick is still a good coach but he had lost control of his players in Baltimore. This change will be great for both the organization and Billick — who won’t be without a job for long.
