Panthers Release Foster
The Carolina Panthers have released their starting running back DeShaun Foster.
“DeShaun had the ability to make big plays in big games and always gave his best regardless of his role,” Panthers head coach John Fox said in a statement. “He never complained and was a professional in every sense of the word. We wish nothing but the best for DeShaun.”
When he’s healthy (which isn’t often) Foster is a decent running back but he’s not good enough to be a starter in the NFL.
He would shine with a team that uses a running back by committee system, but if any team signs Foster as their starter he’s destined for failure.
