Garrard Gets Paid
The Jacksonville Jaguars have rewarded David Garrard by giving him the richest contract in franchise history with a new 7-year deal worth $60 million.
“To have David lead this team for the next seven years, it really gives us the stability and the continuity that we need to compete at the highest level and bring a championship to Jacksonville and hopefully multiple championships,” owner Wayne Weaver said. “David has earned this.”
Garrard definitely brings stability to the Jaguars, and as long as he’s under center they will be a tuff team for anyone to beat.
His teammates respect him, his coaches trust him and most importantly he very rarely makes a stupid mistake. Jacksonville is lucky to have him.

I have no particular love for the Jags, but Garrard is turning into a fantastic player. Which is nice since he’s already a quality character guy.
His mom died when he was 14 - he created a breast cancer research charity in her honor, and he beat Crohn’s disease - no easy task. This guy is a battler. You just gotta be a fan of this guy no matter who you root for on Sundays.
Same here. Who cares about the Jags but Garrard is a great QB. Good luck to him.
