Fitzgerald Agrees to New Deal
Pro Bowl wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald signed a new 4-year, $40 million contract with the Arizona Cardinals which will help the team free up some crucial cap space.
“This is what I wanted to happen,” Fitzgerald said “There was a great deal of dialogue through this whole process and everybody got what they wanted.”
Fitzgerald also said he is happy the deal is done because he’s not a fan of the spotlight.
“I am a guy who doesn’t like to be in the spotlight,” he said. “I would rather go unnoticed and do my job and help my team where I can and kind of go under the radar.”
Fitzgerald is one of the best receivers in the league and he rarely drops the ball.
In addition, he’s only 24 years old so if the Cardinals stick to a one quarterback system and not switch between Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart every series, Fitzgerald will only continue to improve his skills.
