Dolphins Hire Tony Sparano
The Miami Dolphins have hired Dallas Cowboys’ assistant, Tony Sparano as their new Head Coach.
“I can’t make any promises about anything,” the 46-year-old Sparano said. “I’m here because I want to be and I believe I can handle the job and get this team to where it needs to be. I can’t worry about what’s happened in the past.
“My concern is about what’s happening today,” added Sparano, who has no previous NFL head-coaching experience. “We’re going to surround our players with the best coaches and teachers. We’re going to work them as hard as we can. At the end of the day, we hope that will be good enough.”
Bill Parcells obviously loves this guy so I’m guessing he’s a pretty good coach, but hopefully the Dolphins give Sparano a few years to build his team because even Bill Belichick would have a losing season with the Dolphins current roster.
