Chiefs Win the Draft
There’s so much that can be talked about after the long draft weekend but I wanted to focus my attention on the Kansas City Chiefs who, in my opinion, pulled out the best draft of 2008.
With the #5 overall pick they were able to get possibly the best player in the draft, Glenn Dorsey, DT LSU and then with the 15th pick overall they grabbed the best offensive lineman in the draft, Brandon Albert out of Virginia.
In the 2nd round they selected CB, Brandon Flowers out of Virginia Tech could eventually develop into a great player.
All of these players could end up being horrible but that’s the beauty of the draft, nobody knows for sure but on paper it definitely looks like Kansas City is on the right track to building a very nice team. I think they should have gone after a QB at some point because I’m not sold on Croyle but this was still a great draft for them.

The chiefs blow!!!
The Chiefs definitely made out in this draft but I don’t see them becoming a dominating force just yet. All these rookies will need their transition period. I don’t see them doing extremely well until the ‘10 season.
