Chiefs Release Kennison
The Kansas City Chiefs have released 35 year old wide receiver Eddie Kennison.
“I had seven great seasons here, six if you knock off last season because of the injury deal,” Kennison said. “Everything else has been great. I feel I accomplished a lot. We had a great run here.”
And even though he’s getting up there in age, Kennison still believes he can play.
“I’ve got great football left in me, even at 35,” Kennison said. “That’s where a lot of people go wrong. They start to think negative things about a man just because of his age. I’m still a young man. I think you’re old when you’re 106.”
It will be interested to see which teams go after Kennison. I think he’d be a great fit in either Minnesota or Carolina.
