2008 NFL Mock Draft (Picks 6-10)
(6) New York Jets - Vernon Gholston, DE/OLB Ohio State
The Jets would love to get either Matt Ryan or McFadden with this pick but they’ll have no problem settling for one of the best defensive prospects in this draft, Vernon Gholston. With all the talent Gholston has, it won’t take long before he’s a star in the NFL
(7) New England Patriots - Leodis McKelvin, CB Troy
I have a feeling Vernon Gholston is the number one player on the Patriots draft board but unfortunately I don’t see him falling this far. Instead New England will be able to select the best corner in the draft and hopefully help fans forget about losing Asante Samuel.
(8) Baltimore Ravens - Branden Albert, OT/G Virginia
The Ravens could use help in a number of areas, especially offensively but I have a feeling they’ll take a great offensive linemen to help clear the way for Willis Mcgahee for many years to come.
(9) Cincinnati Bengals - Keith Rivers, LB USC
The Bengals desperately need help on defense and they would be fools to select any offensive player with this pick. Keith Rivers is a great player and Cincinnati could build there defense around him.
(10) New Orleans Saints - Sedrick Ellis, DT USC
New Orleans could really use a stud defensive tackle and Ellis is a difference maker in the middle of the defensive line.
