Vikings Trade for Holcomb
The Minnesota Vikings gave up an undisclosed draft pick in 2009 to get QB Kelly Holcomb from the Philadelphia Eagles. He will be the the main back-up to starter Tarvaris Jackson.
“Kelly has been calling these same plays,” said HC Brad Childress, who left the Eagles before last season. “I think it’s really important that you have the right mix of people in the quarterback room and that everybody understands what their role is.”
NFLGuru.net reported the Vikings were interested in acquiring Holcomb way back in July.
