Vernon Davis isn’t Happy
San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has let head coach Mike Nolan know he wants to see more passes thrown his way.
“I admire him for having the courage to do it,” Nolan said. “He said, ‘Coach, I want to know what I can do to get the ball more.’ I said it’s about being prepared. Any player that wants the ball more, or wants to play, they have to maintain their work ethic. The real key now for him is that he continues to work.”
So far Davis has only recorded 4 receptions for 27 yards and no touchdowns. He is one of the most talented tight ends in the league and the 49ers have to find a way to get him more involved with the offense.
