Thunder and Lightning — Texan Style
A few years ago Tiki Barber and Ron Dayne were considered Thunder and Lightning for the New York Giants. Eventually Dayne (Thunder) fell out of favor and was cut by the Giants and eventually the Denver Broncos.
Now Dayne is playing for the Houston Texans and thinks he has once again found some lightning to go with his thunder.
“It kind of reminds me of when I first got to New York with Tiki, even though Ahman’s bigger,” Dayne said Sunday. “He’s aggressive. He’s a power runner but he’s got the speed too. That’s really going to help because I come in as a bruiser and I can still run. So it won’t be a letdown. We can go back and forth.”
This duo has a great chance to exceed expectations this year. They do seem like a great fit together, but what looks good on paper doesn’t always end up like that.

I guess Dayne was the thunder in Thunder and Lightning. With the Texans he is more like the Lumberer. Slow, slow, slow. Hope on Sunday he picks it up, but doubt this is possible.
Nice Site!
