The Return of Jeff George?

Due to the horrible play from all the current Minnesota Vikings quarterbacks, 39-year-old Jeff George wants the team to sign him.

“I know they’re banged up,” said George, 39. “But with a running back like Adrian Peterson, I would be licking my chops. With that running back, you need someone who can throw that deep ball, and I know I still can. I don’t care about the talent at receiver.”

The former #1 overall pick in the 1990 draft just doesn’t seem to go away. Every year it seems like he’s trying to get another chance in the NFL.

I could see the Vikings bringing him in for a workout but I’d be surprised if we ever see Jeff George play another down in the National Football League.
