Start ‘Em & Sit ‘Em — Week 3
The best and worst fantasy football matchups at each position for week 3 of the NFL. (Excluding Every-Week starters and Bench Warmers)
Quarterbacks:
Start: Philip Rivers, Chargers (vs. Green Bay)
Expect a statement game from San Diego.
Sit: Tony Romo, Cowboys (vs. Chicago)
Start him if you have to, but this is a tuff match-up.
Runningbacks:
Start: Jamal Lewis, Browns (vs. Oakland)
He looks young again!
Sit: Maurice Jones-Drew, Jaguars (vs. Denver)
Keep him on the bench until he starts playing better.
Wide Receivers:
Start: Reggie Brown, Eagles (vs. Detroit)
He’s playing the Lions, this has to be his breakout game…right?
Sit: Anquan Boldin, Cardinals (vs. Baltimore)
I expect the possession receiver (Larry Fitzgerald) to get more looks against this freakishly fast defense.
Tight Ends:
Start: Dallas Clark, Colts (vs. Houston)
This will be another great week for Clark.
Sit: Jason Witten, Cowboys (vs. Chicago)
The Bears defense will make it tuff for the entire Dallas offense.
Kickers:
Start: David Akers, Eagles (vs. Detroit)
Should be a high scoring game.
Sit: Jason Elam, Broncos (vs. Jacksonville)
I predict a low scoring game.
Defenses:
Start: Indianapolis Colts (vs. Houston Texans)
No Andre Johnson means an easy day for the Colts defense.
Sit: Green Bay Packers (vs. San Diego Chargers)
The Chargers have a chip on their shoulders after the Patriots embarrassed them last week.
