Rudi Johnson Hopes to be a Receiving Threat
Bengals Running Back Rudi Johnson hopes to catch a lot more passes this season.
“I want to improve my game. That’s the main thing, just trying to find ways to get better,” Johnson said. “Every chance I get, I go over with the quarterbacks and catch extra passes.”
“I want them to know if they can’t find anything downfield, I will be there,” Johnson said “Carson is building confidence, and he knows I have worked on my hands. I am reliable. And we can get positive yards. We can keep moving the chains and keeping the ball.”
Quarterback Carson Palmer has definitely seen some improvement:
“I think he took some of that signing bonus and bought himself new hands,” Palmer said. “His hands have drastically improved. When you’re not sure of your hands, you tend to catch a lot of balls in your body. Kind of trap it. He is snagging everything with his fingertips.”
If Rudi Johnson becomes a threat in the receiving game I don’t see how opposing defenses will slow the Bengals offense down. He would also end the season as on of the top backs in fantasy football.
