Pennington Out vs. Baltimore
The Newark Star-Ledger reports Chad Pennington will be unable to play for the New York Jets Sunday against the Ravens due to a right ankle injury.
Pennington will be replaced by 2nd year quarterback Kellen Clemens, who is a fan favorite in New York due to an impressive preseason.
“He’s done a good job preparing himself, and the most difficult part about being a backup quarterback is you never know when your opportunity will arise and you have to be able to take advantage of it.” said Pennington of Clemens.
If Clemens plays well and happens to win the game –Pennington’s future as a Jet may be in trouble.
