Monday Morning NFL Review — Week 15

broken-heart.gifDolphins 22 > Ravens 16
Thanks Baltimore, you ruined my dream of seeing a team go 0-16. The Ravens broke the hearts of many Americans with their pitiful performance against one of the worst teams ever. Now we may all die without ever seeing a NFL team go winless for an entire 16 game season. I don’t know how any player for the Ravens can live with themselves after there disgraceful performance against Miami.

Browns 8 > Bills 0
If you enjoy football played in nasty weather, you loved this game. The blizzard-like conditions made it difficult for both teams to pass the ball, so it came down to which team could run the ball better, and yesterday it was Jamal Lewis and the Browns. With a win next week against the Bengals, Cleveland can clinch a playoff birth. They will be a dangerous team in January.

Packers 33 > Rams 14
The Packers clinched a first round bye in the playoffs and Brett Favre set a new all-time record for passing yards, eclipsing Dan Marino’s old mark of 61,361 yards passing yards.

The Rams kept the game close for the first half but in the second half St. Louis failed to score a single point.

Patriots 20 > Jets 10
Is it safe to assume Spy Gate is now over? Probably not, but after the game, Belichick shook hands with Jets head coach Eric Mangini and told his former assistant “Great game Eric, Awesome”

The poor weather conditions pretty much shut down the Patriots passing attack but running back Laurence Maroney shouldered the load and proved he can produce when his number is called.

Saints 31 > Cardinals 24
The Saints actually play better without Reggie Bush. …interesting…

Jaguars 29 > Steelers 22
I predicted the Jags would win by a touchdown and I was right, yay!

This was an entertaining game but Jacksonville proved what everyone already knew, The Steelers defense is vastly overrated and not nearly as good as their stats would indicate.

Panthers 13 > Seahawks 10
Seattle had no business losing this game but their lack of a running game killed them.

Redskins 22 > Giants 10
Jeremy Shockey suffered a fractured fibula and a damaged ankle in the loss. He will undergo surgery this week but the Giants will be without him for the rest of the season and possibly some of next season as well.

Eagles 10 > Cowboys 6
Tony Romo’s flavor of the month, Jessica Simpson was present at the game and she must have distracted him because Romo had a horrible game throwing for zero touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Seriously Tony, keep your women away from the stadium if you can’t stay focused.
