Monday Morning NFL Review — Week 13

Colts 28 > Jaguars 25
I was wrong about this one, I thought the Jags would finally get a victory over the Colts but I guess I should’ve learned by now, never pick against Indianapolis unless there playing the Patriots.
With a healthy Dallas Clark the Jacksonville defense had a hard time slowing down Peyton Manning and the Colts passing attack.
I don’t know if this is good news or bad news, but in this week 13 game David Garrard threw his first interception of the season.
Titans 28 > Texans 20
Vince Young had a 99.9 quarterback rating, his best of the season so far. Young has built some chemistry with his receivers, especially Justin Gage.
Texans QB Matt Schaub left early in the game after dislocating his non throwing shoulder — His status for week 14 is uncertain. If he would have played the whole game I think Houston would have pulled off the victory.
Chargers 24 > Chiefs 10
This one went pretty much how I expected. Rivers struggled but it didn’t matter because Tomlinson was having a great day.
The Chiefs need to look for a proven veteran QB in the off-season.
Rams 28 > Falcons 16
The days of Joey Harrington as a starter may be over after Chris Redman replaced him late in the game. Harrington has been very inaccurate all day, all season and his whole career.
Jets 40 > Dolphins 13
The Jets are horrible, but I bet they enjoyed beating up an even worse Miami Dolphin team.
Vikings 42 > Lions 10
These two things I know for sure, Adrian Peterson is definitely back and there’s absolutely no way the Lions are winning 10 games this season.
After this win the Vikings have a great chance at a wildcard birth in the NFC.
Seahawks 28 > Eagles 24
There’s certainly not a quarterback controversy anymore in Philadelphia after A.J. Feeley threw 4 interceptions against Seattle. McNabb is expected to be back in the starting lineup next week.
Bills 17 > Redskins 16
Redskins Head Coach Joe Gibbs is taking the blame for this loss after forgetting consecutive timeouts are against the NFL rules. I feel bad for him and his team after everything they’ve gone through this week, dealing with the death of Sean Taylor.
Panthers 31 > 49ers 14
I’m simply amazed that the Panthers still remember how to win a game. If old man Testaverde can continue to stay in the game and keep David Carr off the field they may have a chance to win even another game this season.
Raiders 34 > Broncos 20
JaMarcus Russell made his NFL debut in the 2nd quarter of this game. He was only in the lineup for a limited number of snaps but he looked good and didn’t make any mistakes.
Denver needs to find Cutler an elite wide receiver in the off-season. Javon Walker is obviously still bothered by his knee injury.
Cardinals 27 > Browns 21
The Cardinals were able to pull off this upset without Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, who left the game in the 3rd quarter with a dislocated toe. However if you get a chance to watch the highlights the Browns should have actually won the game but the refs messed up by declaring Kellen Winslow’s touchdown catch out of bounds even though he was obviously pushed out.
Giants 21 > Bears 16
For most of this game Eli Manning was playing just as bad as he did last week. Rex Grossman was actually out performing him, that’s how bad he looked. But in the 4th quarter when it mattered most Eli got his act together and rallied his team to the victory.
Buccaneers 27 > Saints 23
Luke McCown started for an injured Jeff Garcia and with the exception of one bad interception, he played excellent. The Saints will have a very hard time making the playoffs after this loss.
Steelers 24 > Bengals 10
I want to go back to something I asked a few weeks ago. When will Carson Palmer start getting some the blame for the poor Bengals offense? He had every opportunity in the 4th quarter to score a touchdown and make this a close game but he continuously failed. He has the receivers so that certainly isn’t his problem. Maybe he just isn’t as good as everyone thinks he is.
