Monday Morning NFL Review — Week 12

Bengals 35 > Titans 6
The Bengals dominated every phase of this game. Carson Palmer hooked up with Chad Johnson 3 times in the end zone and their defense was able to shut down the entire Tennessee offense.
Someone needs to remind Ocho Cinco that his team is 4-7. After one of his touchdowns he “entertained” the crowd with a lame celebration. Nobody in Cincinnati should be celebrating this win; their season is still a huge disappointment.
Browns 27 > Texans 17
The Browns are definitely playoff bound after this win. They have a very easy schedule to finish off the regular season and once they’re in the post-season they’ll be dangerous. Their offense can hurt you running the ball or throwing it and their special teams is among the leagues best. However, their defense needs to improve.
Raiders 20 > Chiefs 17
If you like games featuring good running attacks and poor quarterbacks I hope you didn’t miss this one. Both of these teams can look forward to a high draft pick in April.
Seahawks 24 > Rams 19
At halftime the Rams looked like they were going to pull off the upset but like all bad teams they were incapable of playing 4 great quarters of football. Marc Bulger left the game early on with a concussion and was hospitalized. We should know more on his status later today.
Vikings 41 > Giants 17
Eli Manning and his 4 interceptions single-handedly lost this game for the Giants. The Vikings were able to return 3 of those interceptions for touchdowns.
Adrian Peterson is expected to be back for the Vikings next week against the Lions. Hopefully they don’t overuse him; Chester Taylor has played well and deserves a handful of the carries as well.
Buccaneers 19 > Redskins 13
Even though Jeff Garcia missed most the game with a back injury, the Bucs were able to get the win thanks to their strong defense. Garcia is expected to be fine and shouldn’t miss next weeks match up against the Saints.
Saints 31 > Panthers 6
Carolina may be the 2nd worse team in the NFL. Their defense is horrible and they can’t do anything offensively. David Carr was benched late in the game for Matt Moore. Carr may want to give Canada a try – he is not an NFL caliber QB.
Jaguars 36 > Bills 14
David Garrard still hasn’t thrown an interception all season. They face the Colts next week and right now I’m favoring the Jaguars. Garrard isn’t a fluke – he knows how to manage the Jacksonville offense.
49ers 37 > Cardinals 31
With Trent Dilfer starting at QB the 49ers were able to make some plays offensively. Frank Gore finally had a great game with over 200 total yards including 2 touchdowns.
The Arizona offense also had a great day, Kurt Warner threw for 484 yards but he was sacked for a safety in overtime.
This was a very fun game to watch from start to finish.
Bears 37 > Broncos 34
Here was another fun high scoring overtime game to watch. If you saw it you’re probably thinking the same thing I am. When will teams learn NOT to kick in the direction of Devin Hester? He’s really the only big scoring threat on the Chicago Bears. Keep him out of the end zone and you most likely win.
Chargers 32 > Ravens 14
I’ve bashed Philip Rivers a lot lately but in this game he actually played good. He spread the ball around and didn’t make any stupid mistakes. If he can keep it up the Chargers will make the playoffs.
Brian Billick may be without a job soon.
Patriots 31 > Eagles 28
To much surprise the Patriots had their hands full in this game. The Eagles were able to get pressure on Brady and A.J. Feeley looked very good against the New England defense. In the end the Patriots were able to pull off the victory but every player on the team should be prepared to eat a lot of humble pie this week.
Donovan McNabb may find it difficult to get his job back… Feeley has played well and gives the Eagles a much needed spark.
