Falcons Head Coach Bobby Petrino Resigns
After just 13 games as the head football coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Bobby Petrino has resigned to become the new head coach of the University of Arkansas.
“Today was a day of decisions,” Petrino said at a news conference in Fayetteville. “It was very difficult on one side and very easy on the other. … The timing of it was what made it most difficult.”
I don’t blame the guy for quitting, the Falcons suck and they’ll be just as bad next season too but it sounds like Petrino handled the whole situation with little class.
“He just said to us, ‘Guys I’ve resigned, I’m going to Arkansas. I’m sorry. I’ll be talking with you guys in the future.’ And with that he turned and walked out the door. We haven’t been told anything else,” one assistant coach told Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com
Good luck at Arkansas Bobby, it was pretty obvious from day one that you weren’t cut out for the NFL.
