Eagles Release Pro Bowl Linebacker
The Philadelphia Eagles surprised everyone by releasing middle linebacker Jeremiah Trotter.
“It’s a tough pill to swallow, but everyone gets to this point in their career at some point or another, and now is my time,” Trotter said. “I’m just thankful that I spent this many years in Philadelphia. I truly believe that if you were to cut me, I’d bleed green.”
Trotter is 30 years old and still has a couple good years left in him and should have no problem finding another team.

The problem is that Trot is just too slow. I saw him at training camp and it was clear that the other LBs had much quicker footwork.
As much as I like the guy’s attitude, his legs are just shot and I expect for him to be more of a liability than an asset for whoever picks him up.
