Dunn Will Start Over Norwood
The Atlanta Falcons have decided to start Running Back Warrick Dunn over Jerious Norwood in their regular season opener.
“One thing is that Warrick has been there for along time and the rust will come off quickly,” said Falcons coach Bobby Petrino after Wednesday’s practice. “We expect to get him in there as the starter, give him the ball and let him go.”
Dunn won’t last long as the starter. He’s 32 years old and in his 11th NFL season — he will wear down quickly.
Norwood will permanently take over the job at some point this season.
