Billick Names Boller the Starter
With Steve McNair recovering from a subluxation in his non-throwing shoulder, Ravens head coach Brian Billick has named former first round draft pick Kyle Boller the starting quarterback.
“Kyle will start this week, and it will be two to three weeks before Steve can get back to activity,” coach Brian Billick said during his weekly show on WBAL radio. “If you see the television copy when he took the last hit, you can see it happen. There’s initially a numbness and then you wake up in the morning and it hurts. That subluxation will put him out for a minimum of two to three weeks.”
It’s sad it took an injury for Billick to finally make this move. McNair is too old and can’t get it done anymore. Boller isn’t the next Dan Marino but he will give the team a spark. I wouldn’t be surprised if he leads the Ravens to a win this week against the Browns.
