Adrian Peterson is still #2
Despite setting a team record for rushing yards with 224 on 20 carries against the Bears, Vikings head coach Brad Childress refuses to name Adrian Peterson the starter.
“Yeah, he’s a number two,” Childress said Monday. “That’s how he is. It doesn’t bother him, it doesn’t bother me. I don’t know — if it bothers you guys, it will give you an article to write.”
Chester Taylor is a good back but he’s no where near the talent level of Peterson. If Taylor has more carries than AP at the end of the season, Childress may find himself without a job.
Let your best players play.
